Hoary Date (formerly known as F2)

This fragrance works like a masterfully reduced, colorful chypre jam. The classic structure melts here into a dense, almost tangible texture, where fruity and floral notes are held together by a warm, heavy resin. It is a fascinating olfactory paradox. The scent carries a deep, wistful nostalgia within it, yet at the same time pulses with irrepressible, luminous vitality. A thick, resinous nectar that breathes the past without appearing stale for even a second.

Unfortunately, I don’t understand it. I can’t even recall its scent

Although undoubtedly a modern interpretation, this chypre fragrance reveals a pleasant vintage side. It opens with a spicy-floral start, fresh aldehydes with citrus, and a light, bright fruitiness. Dry, resinous-spicy, and cinnamon facets accompany the scent. The animalic notes are primarily spicy and slightly sweaty. While not unique in this combination, it is nevertheless very well crafted.
