At first I thought I'd dislike it because of the fairly noticeable ylang-ylang. But it grew on me in this combination and is a nice counterweight to some of the "darker" notes in this one.

A strange and atmospheric fragrance from the first spray. I get a lot of incense, warm spices, clove, wax, amber and something slightly stale or enclosed, with a green root-like facet underneath. It strongly evokes an orange studded with cloves and left somewhere warm, mixed with wood, leather and a darker resinous background. There is also a slightly tart edge that keeps it from becoming completely heavy. Very unusual, dense and evocative, with a real sense of place.
