Exploring niche perfumery and learning to understand my own nose. I’m especially drawn to woody, green, earthy, smoky and atmospheric fragrances, with a soft spot for forests, incense, tea and unusual compositions. Always curious about perfumes that tell a story.

Promising at first, but increasingly unpleasant on the skin
Patchouli d’Atlas intrigued me at first. I got something warm, slightly nutty and almost almond-like, which reminded me for a moment of galette des rois. Unfortunately, as it developed, a heavier vegetal facet appeared that started to remind me of asparagus or crushed succulent plants. The more I wore it, the less I wanted to smell it on myself. Interesting opening, but the drydown really does not work for me.
