X for Women

The fragrance may have high-quality ingredients and all, but to me it just smells musty and old-fashioned with a rotten undertone. I wouldn't spend 30 euros on it, let alone 300!

After 23 years of wearing Gucci Rush, I tested this ultra-luxury fragrance and had to chuckle: they smell absolutely identical to me! X for Women shares the exact same, brilliant, fruity chypre DNA of peach, jasmine, and patchouli. While the craftsmanship is masterful, it simply offers too little that is new for such a huge price difference. If you love Gucci Rush and have the cash to spare, you get the most refined version here—everyone else should stick with the original.

X for Woman is clearly a high-quality composed fragrance - typical Clive Christian: noble raw materials, cleanly processed. But it doesn't work on my wife. The floral and slightly powdery facets develop on her skin in a way that conveys this classic 'granny vibe' to me. That may be classic, but despite my age, it is no longer fitting. Even my wife doesn't like it particularly much and feels the same way, also with this old-fashioned aura. Quality is no question, but it's not for us.
