Inspired by the 'white gold' that occasionally appears on Scottish beaches. The Grudge finds beauty in the unexpected. It's a story about ambergris, from the belly of a whale, rolled on the tide, and tinctured into a bottle. A metaphor for the alchemy of presence. This fragrance is a journey through amber and aquatic realms. Its character is elegant, brutal, and raw.

How does BeauFort London The Grudge smell?

A powerful and raw scent. It opens with the resinous tang of frankincense and copal resin. The heart reveals a dark, watery world with notes of calamus, seaweed, and a hint of tea. The base is dominated by a monolithic accord of salty, animalic ambergris. It is supported by smoky tobacco, deep oud, and earthy oakmoss, creating a truly oceanic and challenging experience.

Dark, earthy and surprisingly easy to wear

The Grudge is one of my favourite fragrances from BeauFort London so far. It has a dark and distinctive character, but compared with some of the more aggressive fragrances from the house, I find it much easier and more enjoyable to wear. To me, it feels fresh, earthy and woody, with a slightly mysterious atmosphere that develops beautifully on skin and clothes. It has plenty of personality without becoming overwhelming. I liked it quite quickly, and after wearing it again several times, I appreciate it even more. It is one of those fragrances I genuinely enjoy coming back to.

Like Cthulhu

This perfume smells like the concept of Cthulhu: deep sea, gigantic, monstrous, mysterious, calm. This is one of the most creative male-leaning perfumes I've ever smelled and I would drink it, if I could.

Oh well

Beaufort never disappoints, that's another masterpiece, smells like rough greenery, something very smoky, maybe charred wood and rocks under heavy storm, also very mineral indeed, i can definitely smell most of the notes that stated here.
