Cape Wrath is named after a rugged coastline on the most north-westerly tip of Britain. This fragrance draws inspiration from this wild, treacherous seascape. The remote landmark's name comes from an old Norse word for 'turning point.' For centuries, sailors used it to navigate the coast. Yet, its treacherous waters have claimed countless vessels. This scent is a journey through aquatic and resinous worlds, capturing a powerful, wild, and windswept character.

A sharp opening of bitter galbanum and spicy pink pepper creates a bracing feel. The heart reveals cold, resinous notes of frankincense and mastic. It settles into a salty, earthy base. Notes of seaweed, ambergris, and wet oakmoss evoke the feeling of a stormy, windswept coast.

A wild, damp and earthy landscape
Cape Wrath feels like a wild landscape rather than a conventional perfume. To me, it evokes damp earth, moss, wet woods and green vegetation, with an aromatic freshness and a slightly marine atmosphere in the background. I really enjoy its natural and rugged character, and it becomes very pleasant to wear once it settles. The earthy side can sometimes be a little too prominent for my personal taste, which prevents it from becoming one of my absolute favourites from BeauFort London. Still, it is distinctive, atmospheric and something I have happily returned to several times.

This perfume smells like a beach walk, in winter, after the sun set. Its Driftwood, and wind, and salty air, and the warmth your scarf that you wrapped around your face, so only your nose peeks out, projects.
