You can get Black Sea and only use half a spray to get the exact same fragrance and intensity. This is photorealistic sea, i.e. smells fishy for a while but ends up good... much later. For that reason, I'll buy Black Sea.

So I don't find the fragrance special at all. That's probably because it's been quite a while since it was released. I find Black Sea by Lorenzo Villoresi unbeatably good.

I’m not usually a big fan of “clean laundry” fragrances. Very few of them make me think I might actually want a full bottle. But Profumum Roma is an incredible house - their fragrances are all so different, yet somehow connected by this Italian Mediterranean feeling. Crystal-clean, snow-white laundry, freshly washed and already drying, moving in the wind somewhere on the Mediterranean coast. Laundry detergent, fabric softener, clean linen. It’s hot, but a fresh breeze is blowing. Sea, pine trees, cypresses, dry aromatic grasses, vineyards somewhere in the distance. Just a tiny hint of watermelon, but mostly salty wind. It’s incredibly atmospheric. Even the fragrance itself somehow smells humid, airy and very diffusive. A couple of sprays and I’m completely surrounded by it. A beautiful villa or hotel somewhere by the sea. You step into the back garden, where white laundry is moving in the breeze, and look towards the water. Pine-covered hills around you, grasses, salt in the air, essential oils from the plants. The delicate smell of laundry detergent and fabric softener blends with the sea breeze. It’s hot outside, but the cool wind is blowing over your skin - heat and freshness at the same time. As it develops, it moves further into aromatic herbs, pine, warm wood, a little bit of insence and something slightly iodic, almost oyster-like, while that clean freshness stays until the very end. It’s a teleport. Nothing brings back memories and associations quite like smell, and this one puts me directly inside that Mediterranean landscape.
