Luxury alone is sometimes not enough
The original Durra is an absolute dream fragrance for me. Accordingly, I was naturally very curious about Durra Ambre. Right from the first impression, I recognize that certain signature of the house. Here too, everything appears luxurious, high-quality, and thoroughly excitingly composed. You can tell that you are not dealing with an ordinary scent. And yet, I don't really warm up to Durra Ambre. Something in the composition bothers me, without me being able to pinpoint exactly which note is responsible for it. Perhaps it is also because the original Durra thrilled me so much and my expectations were correspondingly high. Subconsciously, one inevitably makes comparisons, even when trying to consider each fragrance on its own. I certainly do not want to deny Durra Ambre its quality and independent character. It is an interesting, luxurious-seeming fragrance that will surely find its enthusiasts. For me personally, however, that special feeling that Durra conveys is missing. A fragrance whose quality I certainly appreciate, but one that I wouldn't add to my collection.
