Radiant grapefruit and velvety depth

Luxury in the Citrus Category. Sospiro Vibrato is a prime example of how to elevate a classic fresh theme into the absolute upper echelon of niche perfumery. It is an enormously present, mood-lifting fragrance that impresses with its incredibly fine balance and tremendous power. The fragrance development: The opening is a real highlight: an extremely juicy, sparkling, and utterly authentic grapefruit meets the invigorating, slightly tingling spiciness of ginger. This brightly radiant opening feels almost electrifying. In the heart, the fragrance takes a wonderful turn. The initial spiciness is rounded off by soft powdery and floral accents, making the composition noticeably creamier and smoother. In the base, an exceedingly powerful yet elegant foundation of clean musk, dry cedarwood, and a touch of patchouli unfolds. This base lends the fragrance a warm, woody depth without robbing it of its citrusy freshness. Conclusion: Vibrato perfects the DNA of fruity-spicy 'freshies' (it is often cited as a more complex, creamier relative of Bvlgari's Tygar). Anyone looking for a high-quality citrus fragrance that doesn't fade after two hours, but instead creates a voluminous, creamy, and woody aura, will find a direct hit here. The performance is simply outstanding for this scent profile.

Zesty grapefruit with a slight bite

On my skin, Vibrato starts with an explosive mix of grapefruit and ginger, which comes across as quite fresh and fruity. As it develops, it becomes increasingly musky and I find it a bit piercing, as it lacks a smooth roundness. It is indeed a nice summer fragrance, but it doesn't completely blow me away.

Nice scent - but the mandarin takes over for my taste

Sospiro Vibrato is a fragrance where I can completely understand why it is so popular - but personally, it doesn't entirely win me over. The opening is extremely fresh, zesty, and vibrant. Bergamot, grapefruit, and especially the mandarin provide a lot of energy. And that is precisely where the problem lies for me: the mandarin is simply too dominant on my skin. It doesn't just accompany me in the opening, but remains present for what feels like a very long time. As a result, Vibrato feels much fruitier to me than I would like. Yet the fragrance actually has quite a bit more to offer. As it develops, floral and slightly aromatic notes come in, particularly woods and amber. They give Vibrato some elegance and prevent it from drifting completely into a simple citrus scent. The ginger brings a nice contrast to the juicy fruitiness. I actually like the base the best. Musk, amber, cedarwood, and patchouli provide warmth, depth, and a pleasantly woody, clean foundation. Here, the quality of the fragrance is also very noticeable to me. It feels high-end, modern, and very cleanly composed. Performance and projection are also definitely impressive. Vibrato has presence and is certainly a very good companion for spring and summer. All in all, Sospiro Vibrato is a 7/10 for me. Objectively a truly beautiful and high-quality fragrance with an exciting blend of citrus fruits, floral notes, musk, and woods. However, for my personal taste, it is simply a bit too fruity and above all too mandarin-heavy. Anyone who loves exactly this juicy-fresh direction, however, should be much happier with Vibrato than I am.
