The fragrance Montabaco Intensivo by Ormonde Jayne opens with a citric lightness that feels very mature and is reminiscent of opening fresh, green citrus fruits. Once the fragrance has settled slightly on the skin, increasingly floral and slightly tea-like nuances emerge. The top and heart notes are consistently accompanied by an elegantly integrated, subtly tart freshness. Dry tobacco and woody accords blend harmoniously into the fragrance profile and form an exceptionally pleasant, balanced base. After about two hours, the base moves more into the foreground, making the fragrance overall tarter without losing its characteristic freshness. As the wearing time progresses, the fragrance becomes increasingly close to the skin. On the one hand, this makes it an ideal everyday scent, but on the other hand, one occasionally wishes for a stronger projection that fills the room more. The longevity is overall to be rated as good to very good: even if the fragrance is perceptible closer to the body after several hours, it remains present there for a long period.
