Nightfall in the City of Kings

Nightfall in the City of Kings has a powdery undertone, with the peach remaining noticeable throughout the scent's development without being intrusive. A hint of cinnamon and cumin complements the composition, with the cumin not developing any sweaty note. The rose gives the fragrance an elegant direction, while vanilla and musk ensure a soft finish.

The fragrance opens with spicy-earthy accords, which are, however, relatively quickly drowned out by the floral notes. In my opinion, it is also these notes that give the fragrance a slightly dated feel and take away some of its edge - therefore, for a niche perfume, a bit too conventional in my view. The fragrance is thus very mature and also pleasant, just not as interesting as it could be (without the florals). Update: After wearing the perfume a few times with several days in between and also being able to try different scent intensities (through more or fewer sprays), I must say that - when I apply, for example, two sprays instead of just one - the fragrance doesn't seem nearly as floral as I felt after the first wear. The spiciness then lasts significantly longer and the cumin accord emerges more clearly, which I really like. Especially in combination with the other fragrance components. Therefore, I have adjusted my rating slightly upwards. A very nice fragrance if you apply it a bit more generously.

The fragrance smells mature, older, and educated. Sweet and perceived as somewhat powdery due to the carrot seeds. And resinous and woody in its development. This is how grandparents might have smelled back then when they went out in the evening.
