Fortis

The fragrance opens with incense and then transitions into a slightly earthy, cool note. For me, the incense actually remains present throughout the entire wear. Towards the end, it becomes slightly warmer and minimally sweeter.

Fortis opens woody, dark and spicy, with a dry forest-like feeling and a slightly smoky warmth underneath. I get impressions of cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, amber and incense, with a sharp spicy edge that makes the composition feel quite angular. As it settles, the woods become more dominant and the fragrance feels dense, earthy and warm. It fits my taste in theory, but the spicy side is a little too pronounced for me and keeps it from becoming something I really want to wear often.

I prefer Terroni or BA, but this is really nice if you want that kind of scent, but at a skin scent level. Very wearable.
