What on earth were they thinking?
At first, I thought of liquorice. That was probably a mistake: it was almost resinous. Then oriental, cedarwood, ginger, and that is really amazing. Then, surprise, it becomes very cinnamon-heavy. And then something very strong emerges that I know but can't name - probably Peru balsam. And cardamom over and over again. The cinnamon unmistakably takes charge. After hours, I experience a lot of warm wood, yet not as sweet as described in some places. Everything is wonderfully rounded and harmonious, quite rare. Finale: Not really my usual preference, but what a thing!
