Lao Oud

Unfortunately, nothing for me personally. It smells woody, dirty, and with a note that would go well with a wild boar's bristles. Not badly made in itself, but definitely not a candidate for a blind buy.

I like it better with every test. A strong, medicinal-smoky sillage that challenges the nose. As a reward, underneath lies the powdery-gourmand base, a barely perceptible sweetness. The fragrance is animalic only in a pleasant way, soothing and warm. Properly dosed, it is absolutely suitable for daily use and brings a bit of shine to the grey.

Lao Oud is not a fragrance for the market, it is for the hall (wood, fire, time and depth). Not a fragrance for pleasing, but for steadfastness and no fear in the darkness.
