Woody maple syrup
The maple syrup comes through well and balances out the green/woody notes wonderfully. It reminds me a lot of Harvest Mouse. They could be cousins. Definitely gourmand, but not overly 'edible'.

It feels like a cozy, rustic cabin in the woods.

The fragrance opens with a fresh breeze of neroli, lotus, and crisp carrot. Soon, a sweet gourmand heart takes over. You will notice a thick maple syrup mixed with peru balsam. The base turns deeply woody and a bit dusty. Warm atlas cedar, virginia cedar, and earthy patchouli blend perfectly. Finally, cozy vanilla and musky castoreum leave a dark, rustic trail.

Smells more like a beaver than like a pancake
The maple indeed brings an almost honey-like sweetness here, accompanied by a touch of water lily and a woody base. Unfortunately, to my nose, this very quickly tips over into the animalistic. Pungent, sharp, and slightly ammoniacal. Cedar and vetiver unfortunately do not make it any better for me at this point, but in my opinion, accentuate the animalistic notes. Creative and definitely interesting, but absolutely not a fragrance I would want to wear on my skin.
