Spring wakes up the forest. The beavers are busy building their home. Nearby, farmers tap trees for sweet sap. Beaver Maple Edition captures this lively scene. It mixes fresh florals with rich maple syrup and dark cacao. As it dries down, you smell dry woody notes and earthy haitian vetiver. A touch of castoreum adds an animalic edge. It feels like a cozy, rustic cabin in the woods.

The fragrance opens with a fresh breeze of neroli, lotus, and crisp carrot. Soon, a sweet gourmand heart takes over. You will notice a thick maple syrup mixed with peru balsam. The base turns deeply woody and a bit dusty. Warm atlas cedar, virginia cedar, and earthy patchouli blend perfectly. Finally, cozy vanilla and musky castoreum leave a dark, rustic trail.

Maple syrup on wood
Beaver Maple Edition starts off directly with a distinct note of maple syrup. However, a delicate floral aspect and subtle aquatic hints of water lily prevent any sticky sweetness. As it progresses, the floral notes recede, making room for a structuring woodiness. The sweetness of maple syrup and vanilla remains, but is well-contained by the woods here as well. This makes the scent feel warm and cozy without ever becoming overpowering. In the base, earthy notes and leather strip the accord of its syrupy texture. What remains is a pure maple in deep, dark wood. With good longevity and a sillage that stays close to the skin, this unisex composition demonstrates a clean and creative development without excessive sugar. A gourmand for everyone who (like me) doesn't actually like gourmands.
