Last Birthday Cake

I heard a lot about this perfume, that it smells like a urinal and pee, but I was blown away. It starts on my skin VERY sugary and boozy, and then it dries down to this sweet vanilla. The booze and sugar are still there, but slightly quieter, and I get an undertone of incense and musk. Masterpiece. I need a gourmand; I will buy a full bottle of this.

Last Birthday Cake is definitely a fragrance that you should test if you like unconventional gourmands. It starts with a very light menthol note, which vanishes very quickly though. Once the fragrance has had a moment to settle, it transitions directly into a very special gourmand quality. The scent now appears very heavy and oppressive due to the fruitcake or stollen with a noticeable smokiness in the background. This smokiness becomes increasingly stronger as the fragrance develops, smelling like blown-out birthday candles combined with a wonderfully subtle vanilla. To me, LBC does not smell like a cheerful birthday with a delicious cake, but rather like an old, dusty cake that carries a depressive mood. I am still fascinated by how intensely a fragrance can convey an emotion. 100% a buy candidate for gourmand lovers who dislike sticky sweetness! :)

This perfume reminds me of the scent of incense in a church. I smell a strong note of cinnamon that fades into a light vanilla, but it is masked by a rather pronounced incense, which is a pity. I was expecting much sweeter notes. I do not smell candles at all.
