Tolu balsam has a rich, warm, sweet, and slightly spicy aromatic profile with woody and resinous undertones. It offers a complex fragrance that is simultaneously balsamic, vanilla-like, and reminiscent of cinnamon and clove, with a deep, smooth character.
Tolu balsam is a natural resinous substance obtained from the Myroxylon balsamum tree, native to Colombia and parts of South America. It is extracted by making incisions in the tree bark and collecting the resinous sap, which is then processed and dried.
