Details on Sarah Baker Prism Head

Step into a damp, dark forest right after the rain. Prism Head greets you with the deep scent of wet soil and fresh mushrooms. A bright splash of lemon cuts through the thick air. Underneath, sultry cannabis and patchouli bring a cool, herbal vibe. It feels like a memory from the 1970s. This is a highly unique, earthy and green scent that takes you straight to nature.

How does Sarah Baker Prism Head smell?

The fragrance opens with an intense wave of damp soil, fresh mushrooms, and a sharp hit of lemon. As it settles, a cool, herbal cannabis note blends with animalic costus and soft musk. The base leaves a deep, forest floor trail of vetiver, incense, and dark patchouli.

Dry earth and mycelium without a false bottom

Prism Head starts off extremely promisingly as a bone-dry, uncompromising patchouli fragrance. The organic touch is particularly fascinating: a realistic, damp mushroom note immediately pulls you into the dark atmosphere of forest floor and raw mycelium. Yet, exactly where you expect to be drawn into a complex, abyssal progression, the fragrance stagnates. It simply lacks dimension and the necessary depth. An artisanally interesting approach with a strong opening, but one that ultimately remains too two-dimensional and fails to fully deliver on its dark promise on the skin.

Photorealistic forest floor

Lots of mushroom and wet forest floor, followed by a Tiger Balm-like menthol quality. I find it incredibly calming.

Not for me

The opening is interesting, but the scent quickly becomes much too mushroomy.
