Smells melancholic and slightly synthetic, but is certainly one of my favourite rose scents. Smells somewhat smoky, and for me, a rather unisex rose perfume. Sillage and Longevity could be better tough

To me it comes off as a funeral scent, overcast skies, roses, dirt, soil and incense. The name is a line from a Victor Hugo poem.

To me, more like a cemetery than a forest. The dampness smells more like wet stone or earth than wood. The mood is quite melancholy, but not unpleasant. Very long-lasting, but with only slight development.
