Tobacco brings dry-soft warmth together with leathery hay, while the fragrance lingers in a strikingly dry stage. Light costus fur brushes over it as delicately as incense. Later on, laurel emerges in a noticeably ethereal manner. In the drydown, the scent is no longer bone-dry, loses its spiciness, and thus becomes softer and woodier.

The fragrance opens pleasantly aromatic, positioned between almost fruity saffron and bright, spicy cardamom. The nutmeg note is also very prominent and transitions seamlessly into a floral character. The scent develops warmth yet remains fresh and spicy. Gradually, the fragrance becomes more leathery and acquires a sweet resinous note. Frankincense further adds freshness and an ethereal hint of earthy nard. Throughout its development, the fragrance is accompanied by animalic musk tones that range from spicy to sweet.

The slightly different forest trip. It starts with citrusy radiance before dry green notes set in, followed by bitter as well as smoky-fresh traces of cannabis, which transition relatively quickly into an increasing spiciness. A certain acidity remains in the fragrance and resonates throughout. Clean mushroom notes also shimmer through brightly, while the scent becomes somewhat softer but also earthier over time. Geosmin, although well-integrated, is also clearly perceptible here as damp, (slightly musty) soil.

Fruity-spicy opening of cloyingly sweet bubblegum-tuberose fruitiness and civet spice. Accompanied by a citric zestiness. The floral-fruity-sweet character defines the further development of the fragrance. Earthy vetiver and dry coumarin notes provide a certain counterpoint. Ylang and sandalwood smooth things out. Nevertheless, the scent remains shrill and loud in every respect, which can definitely become exhausting. It remains floral into the drydown with slightly more earthy-smoky spiciness and continues to be fruity-sweet in the background.

Starts creamy-aquatic. A musky-soft vanilla note resonates immediately. Gradually, ozonic notes make the fragrance appear clearer. Some freshness also comes through. Thanks to spices and woods, a warming character develops, accented by light floral, rather creamy blossoms. Brittle wood and the salt accord also make the fragrance seem dry. Dry-spicy vanillin with a subtle hint of aquatics. As it progresses, synthetics are unfortunately unmistakable. Initially still relatively well integrated, I occasionally find it disruptive. A razor-thin line to being pungent. In principle, it could be a designer DNA. But at least kept more creative. Drydown then less demanding than expected, as it becomes softer again in the spicy vanilla base.

Although undoubtedly a modern interpretation, this chypre fragrance reveals a pleasant vintage side. It opens with a spicy-floral start, fresh aldehydes with citrus, and a light, bright fruitiness. Dry, resinous-spicy, and cinnamon facets accompany the scent. The animalic notes are primarily spicy and slightly sweaty. While not unique in this combination, it is nevertheless very well crafted.

Sweet-dry opening with gourmand-like accents and a clean floral touch. Immediately, a sauna infusion scent emerges, defined by incense freshness and cypress in combination with a slightly herbal-creamy chamomile-sandalwood blend. Apple is present, albeit only in the background. The fragrance becomes spicier and also contains pleasantly scratchy notes that fit the dry character. However, it always retains a hint of gourmand and, especially in the drydown, becomes sweet-creamy-woody-soft. In the end, a clearly vanillic sandalwood base with oud sweetness.

Starts green-aquatic with ozonic, soft as well as peppery-spicy notes. Although a certain freshness remains, sweaty-sultry notes spread out, which also bring a saltiness to the fragrance, while warmth significantly increases. The mixture of truffle and oud results in sour facets. In the drydown, still noticeably algae with an aldehydic touch.

Fruity-floral opening, bright blossoms mixed with creamy facets. Narcotic traits without any real indolic character. Becomes cleaner, drier, and remains dominantly floral. At the same time, it is also fresh with a certain soapiness.

Sweet-spicy opening, labdanum syrup and Peru balsam provide an ambery balsamic resinousness. Everything wrapped in a perfumey opulence. Fresh notes pass by. Floral tones from blossoms as well as ginger spiciness. Acquires a woody-smoky component. Becomes drier in the drydown and the spiciness intensifies. Peru balsam becomes cinnamon-like. Every now and then, the Indian oud peeks through discreetly with slightly animalic traits.

Fruity-bright Damascene rose, accompanied by a slightly tart oud note, paired with earthy, slightly musty violet leaf. At the same time, some freshness in combination with narcotic white florals. Subsequently, spicy facets set in. Oud becomes more prominent, along with vanilla-resinous notes. Ultimately, a fresh, rose-centric and therefore feminine oud fragrance that turns in a sweet direction towards the drydown.

Citrusy-tart opening, slightly acidic and sparkling. Behind it are greenish notes that almost merge into a single entity with tart-waxy peel zest. It develops slightly herbal-spicy nuances, making the fragrance citrus-herbal. Additionally, a pleasant warmth develops. It also becomes rounder, gaining almost a creamy yet soft touch. The waxy-tart-sour citrus peels accompany but fade more and more. What remains is a soft base in which a herbal thyme freshness emerges clearly present once again.

Semi-gourmand, with hints of pastries, coffee, and cocoa. However, the whole composition has a perfumey presentation. Slightly boozy. The fragrance also seems somewhat sweet and tends to be more feminine. Soft-creamy-powdery, dry, and warm. Yet not too sweet. Unfortunately, certain sharp elements are present from time to time. Doughy and nutty components are repeatedly noticeable. A light smoke emerges. It becomes somewhat mulled-wine fruity, then more chocolatey and more bitter. Definitely interesting.

Starts warm-creamy-ambery. Almost a bit liqueur-like due to earthy patchouli and balsamic labdanum. A resinous sweetness joins in. The saffron creates a pleasant softness. A certain dryness sets in quickly. The fragrance changes from creamy to powdery-dusty. Vanilla dust envelops softly. Sandalwood rounds it off delicately. Nice rendezvous.

Starts with slightly muted citrus. Wrapped in something a bit powdery. Behind that, slightly woody and spicy notes. Very designer-like DNA. Somewhat dry due to vetiver. I also get a kind of musk or woody fixative note. Solid, but has little to do with niche.

Not so aquatic at all... Starts off citrusy-spicy. Citrus in many facets, represented from sour and slightly fruity to bitter. Green and fresh notes follow simultaneously. Cooling mint is present. Myrtle is also perceptible, yet not prominent, which gives the fragrance more balance. Citric notes give the not-too-sweet fig some fruitiness. Overall more subtle than thought. Citrusy-minty green facets last longer than expected. Accompanied by a subtle maritime-aldehydic-ozonic shell.

Starts with bergamot acidity and a slightly tingling cardamom freshness around greenish-soft blackcurrant buds. Supported by fruity-sweet davana, which intensifies the berry impression. Lovely blossoms set in, making the fragrance appear rather bright, yet with a certain sharpness. Unfortunately, it has a somewhat pungent base character in places. Woody notes only appear relatively late and make the scent a bit more tart, almost slightly leathery.

Prin Lomros and Zoologist - simply a perfect match. In my opinion, no one portrays this fragrance series more realistically. This is also true of his latest and most recent work - King Cobra. A green, fresh, and spicy start. This is joined by grassy, straw-like, as well as earthy, smoky tones. The smoke feels bright and the fragrance becomes increasingly warmer. Alongside the fresh-spicy hemp notes, sweetish cumin now meets leather, giving the fragrance a sour undertone. Later, it leans even more pronouncedly towards sweetish, sweaty leather on sour greenery. In the dry down, it becomes overall significantly sweeter and softer, but retains its leathery, dry, and earthy spiciness.

Fresh-spicy opening, bright due to frankincense, dry cedarwood notes as well as sweet-bitter nuances of peppery cascarilla bark. Warmth spreads. Despite the coolness of frankincense and airy aldehydes, resinous-woody spiciness dominates. Cypress gives the fragrance a certain soft note. Like thick resin syrup. Fresh-warming juniper brings green nuances. Gradually, the bright frankincense transforms into heavier, spicy birch tar smoke.

Tart yet creamy leather with a certain freshness in the opening, which stems from the incense. The smoky tones are distinct, but not too heavy and dark. Birch brightens it up a bit more. Leather generally composed in a wearable way and appropriately integrated. Rose and patchouli appear only in nuances, balancing the leather very pleasingly. Becomes drier over time, the leather more brittle. Like cedarwood. Remains somewhat tart in the drydown, light-smoky-soft with woody spice.
