Herod

Herod by Parfums de Marly immediately captivated me with its warm, spicy opening of cinnamon and pepper. In the heart, tobacco unfolds with a subtle, smoky hint of incense, before the fragrance transitions into a creamy, woody vanilla. Herod never feels heavy or sticky sweet, but rather elegant, cozy, and confident. For me, it is an ideal fragrance for autumn and winter, especially in the evening.

A wonderful sweetness with mild tobacco. An absolutely great daily wear. It naturally leans more towards the mainstream than the niche, but that is absolutely okay for me here. The longevity on the skin could be better. Clearly masculine.

I find the fragrance very easy to like. In winter, it is certainly a great addition to its character. It starts off spicy and sweet with a tobacco twist and then becomes gourmand in the dry down. Not such strong sillage/longevity and rather masculine.
