Oud Republic

A very nice rose oud fragrance, which however does not have good longevity on me.

I am still at the very beginning when it comes to niche fragrances. But my first thought with Oud Republic was definitely: Wow. At first, it smells floral and fruity to me, luxurious like a sunlit palace. Over time, it becomes softer, honey-like, spicy. Later, I mostly perceive warm woods and vanilla. I keep having to sniff my wrist. The imagery changes: Now I'm sitting in an elegant bar, a good cocktail in hand, with a wonderful view. This fragrance is like putting on sunglasses: suddenly, you have a different aura. Sprayed on again in the evening, and even the difficult day feels lighter. This scent really does something to me. Absolutely dreamy.

The opening is clearly shaped by an intense, beautiful rose that gives the fragrance a noble and slightly oriental aura. As it develops further, the oud emerges more prominently and blends harmoniously with the floral notes. I particularly like that the oud is neither intrusive nor animalic, but pleasantly soft and finely crafted. The fragrance increasingly develops into an elegant, warm, and balanced composition. For me, an excellent example that an oud fragrance does not necessarily have to be heavy or challenging. Oud Republic possesses character while remaining pleasantly wearable, certainly even for everyday use.
