Scholar's Mate is a masterfully crafted fragrance that demonstrates its high quality from the very first second. It presents itself as very clear and almost cool. The composition strongly reminds me of Santal Greenery, as it possesses that striking combination of a very present green freshness and a tart woodiness. Although a slightly creamy facet of fig becomes noticeable over time, the fragrance overall remains rather distant and very focused. Anyone looking for complex, green-woody scents will find them here. For me personally, however, the fragrance lacks a certain softness to truly touch me.
