Soothingly exciting
First things first - I am absolutely not a professional at describing fragrances or detecting individual notes and I am basically still at the beginning of my journey of discovering niche fragrances (just half a year ago I thought I liked Gucci Guilty Elixir. Today it makes me cringe completely), so please forgive my simple language. Lucius came to me by chance - someone wanted to get me samples of other perfumes from a store and came back with an extra sample - Lucius. Accordingly, I had absolutely no expectations, but what the heck, let's give it a try. The first time, I thought someone had squeezed a lemon directly into my nose. Not that I have anything against lemons, but at that point, I couldn't really appreciate it. The first impression was 'well, okayish', no further interest. A few days later, I sprayed the sample again at home and didn't really pay much attention to it this time. Only after a while did I notice how pleasantly the citrus faded and what one describes as woody emerged, as well as the tonka bean, probably carried by the vetiver (I found out that vetiver is present in all the fragrances I like. Isolated, however, it smells anything but good). And this state lasts for a very long time, slightly citrusy, slightly woody and with a very subtle and high-quality sweetness, absolutely not intrusive. And then I tested it again. And again. And again. Until it quickly became clear to me that I would treat myself to the full bottle, and so it happened. Whether it's a date, dinner, office, or just everyday life, I just can't get enough of Lucius. Definitely test a sample. For me, one of my two favorites and just a tiny bit better than Maximus.
