Koala Joey Edition

To be honest: Zoologist Koala Joey Edition makes many aspects more accessible that put many people off about the ultra-medicinal original Koala. Instead of that extremely dense, almost overwhelming Vicks Vaporub note, you get a much brighter, sunnier freshness here. The opening with zesty grapefruit, green basil, and clear mint captures this playful "Joey" vibe (the baby koala) in a truly charming way. Over time, the fragrance becomes wonderfully soft, woody, and cozy due to delicate mimosa blossoms and creamy Australian sandalwood, without losing its nature-connected, green base. Of course, you have to like this extremely herbal-eucalyptus direction, but compared to its predecessor, this is significantly more wearable, more rounded, and a true, harmonious fresh niche scent for warmer days that doesn't smell immediately like cold balm.

Anyone looking for an authentic, green fragrance will definitely find it here. To me, it smells like freshly mown, still slightly damp grass, paired with a zesty, tart grapefruit that immediately puts you in a good mood. This is joined by spicy components as well as woody notes in the base. The sillage is above average for such a fresh profile – you will definitely be noticed and leave a great scent trail. Highly recommended!

I would have been very happy to wear this fragrance as a signature scent during the day. It smells fresh, sporty yet elegant, well-rounded and unique at the same time. Unfortunately, the performance does not work for me. It fades much too quickly and was no longer noticeable on me after only 2-3 hours (and even before that, mostly only close to the skin).
