Overpriced but not bad

LoginPleasant chocolate oud fragrance. Nothing innovative but nice.
A prime example of what happens when craftsmanship and the purest raw materials are given priority. meltmyheart opens with what is arguably the densest, most luxurious orris butter I have encountered so far – buttery, slightly powdery, and infinitely deep. Almost simultaneously, dark, nearly bitter chocolate melts into this texture. The true highlight, however, is the authentic oud in the base: it is neither medicinal nor dominantly animalic, but gives the gourmand sweetness an earthy, mystical, and perfectly balanced structure, softly rounded off by creamy sandalwood. A fragrance where you feel the preciousness of the ingredients in every second of the drydown.
The opening is demanding. It smells strongly of grease. Later it becomes more subtle. The individual fragrances are barely perceptible.
