Lucius Maximus

Lucius Maximus feels darker, denser and more powerful than Lucius, with a richer and more luxurious character. It has more presence and feels decidedly more sensual and nocturnal. It reminds me of Oud for Greatness, although perhaps closer to Town & Country due to its more aromatic character. Overall, it feels like a darker, deeper and more nighttime interpretation.

A little citrus at the beginning, then vanilla and then vanilla again.

Since Lucius has already left a lasting impression of the 'I could smell this every day' kind, curiosity about Maximus was very high. And indeed, with the very first spray, you feel 'at home'. The difference is made by the restraint of the citrus note - it is by no means gone, but makes room for coffee and vanilla. If I had to choose between Lucius and Maximus, I would choose the latter. Absolutely recommended for the lords of creation, provided woody, slightly smoky and sweet are worn with pleasure. Put a sample in your box.
