L: Red Tea Vetiver

A very beautiful tea note that takes a little while to fully reveal itself. But once it is there, it has a very dominant presence.

Red Tea Vetiver is a very elegant fragrance for me, combining fresh citrus notes with a clearly perceptible rooibos tea note and a dry, woody-green vetiver. The composition feels pleasant, calm, and well-groomed on the skin; however, one should note that the fragrance stays rather close to the skin and has a more subtle projection.

Red Tea Vetiver starts off much more tart than expected. Especially in the first few minutes, the fragrance seems dry, slightly bitter, and almost a bit edgy. Despite prepared skin, I also experienced a slight bitterness on my lips, which is likely due to the individual aromatic or woody components. Unfortunately, the performance on my skin was weaker than hoped. After just under four hours, the scent was only perceptible as a subtle skin scent. Especially in this price range, I would have wished for significantly more projection and longevity. However, the drydown is a highlight; there, a really pleasant, clean musk develops, giving the fragrance much more elegance and calm than the rather bulky opening. The later phase seems much more harmonious and wearable. Overall, an interesting, high-quality fragrance composition with a beautiful drydown, but for me, the price-performance ratio is not right due to the weak longevity, and thus it is not enough for a full bottle.
