Amber Cologne

I really didn't like it. Creamy florals with grapefruit. Smells just like it sounds, rather unpleasant.

Bortnikoff Amber Cologne is a masterful example of genuine artisan perfumery. The fragrance impressively proves that a fresh concept can achieve incomparable depth and three-dimensionality through the use of rare, natural extracts. Olfactory development: The opening is a celebration of extremely natural, juicy citrus notes. Grapefruit, sweet orange, and lemon radiate an organic, almost tangible freshness that is completely free of synthetic sharpness. In the heart, the fragrance reveals its exotic side: a creamy, sunny frangipani note (plumeria) takes the lead and lends the composition a gentle, tropical floral character that merges seamlessly with the citrus freshness. The true magic of the house then unfolds in the base: genuine, light ambergris introduces an intriguing, slightly salty-mineral warmth. Paired with soft sandalwood, delicate vanilla, and Bortnikoff's typical, extremely subtle, and refined oud signature (which is not animalic at all here, but merely structural), it rounds off the experience luxuriously. Conclusion: The name 'Cologne' is pure understatement. This is a dense, multi-faceted composition with the soul of an extrait. It is the perfect summer and spring fragrance for connoisseurs who appreciate the difference between synthetic molecules and genuine, natural ingredients. The performance is remarkable for a fragrance with such a high proportion of natural materials.

Unfortunately, it is much too floral for me and therefore not for my skin.
