From a difficult start to gentle sweetness
Cockatiel starts off taking quite some getting used to for my nose. The rhubarb in particular stands out strongly at the beginning and feels rather disruptive to me. The combination with the champagne note does not necessarily make the opening any more pleasant for me either. As the fragrance develops, however, my impression changes significantly. The fruity notes increasingly fade into the background, making way for a soft, powdery, and slightly sugary sweetness. In addition, subtle woody and floral facets emerge. I actually like this softer side much better, making Cockatiel significantly more pleasant and wearable for me. Overall, it is a fragrance with which I have my difficulties at the beginning, but which definitely develops positively on my skin. The opening is definitely not my cup of tea, but the subsequent development appeals to me surprisingly well.
