Coffee, rum and a strange warm freshness
Notturno opens with coffee, rum, warm spices and woods, but there is also an unexpected freshness that keeps it from feeling too heavy. I get impressions of fir and citrus around the darker opening, while the coffee fades surprisingly quickly. After several hours, the fragrance becomes softer, slightly sweet and almost floury or bread-like, with a faint coffee trace underneath. It develops in an unusual way and remains interesting throughout, without becoming overly cloying.
