Cannabis Fruttata is a fragrance that knows exactly what it wants to be – and that is exactly the problem for me. Even on the test strip, the cannabis note is unmistakably present. Fruity, yes, but above all very direct, very concrete. There is little room for interpretation or development. The combination of sweet-fruity accents and this striking cannabis note quickly strikes me as too intrusive. Instead of tension or depth, an impression of over-obviousness is created: the fragrance explains itself immediately and leaves hardly anything open afterwards. This feeling remains even when smelling it again. For me, the balance is missing here. The fruitiness cannot sufficiently capture or ground the dominant cannabis note, but in some cases even reinforces it. The result is a fragrance that demands a lot of attention without giving me a harmonious overall picture in return. Cannabis Fruttata is certainly consistent and will appeal to people looking for exactly this clear, provocative character. For me personally, however, the cannabis note is too prominent and too pervasive. An interesting thought – but not one that suits me or my fragrance wardrobe.
