At first, I liked it, although it was nothing like what I expected from the note breakdown. I had imagined something along the lines of Van Py Rhum—less vanilla-focused and more centered on boozy, rum-like facets. With just one spray, however, it comes across as a thoroughly tropical fragrance. It feels as if the passion fruit from Oud Maracujá and the plum from Initio’s Paragon had been blended into a single composition. I wouldn’t recommend buying it expecting something dark, challenging, or particularly distinctive. Instead, think of it as a fruity, highly likable fragrance that is easy to wear and easy to enjoy. While it lacks the bold, provocative edge that many people seek in niche perfumery, it makes up for it with its approachable and crowd-pleasing character.
