Afirewithin actually reminds me of Mumijo (Shilajit) – that dark, viscous, mineral-earthy natural resin substance that used to be used as a remedy. 😅 To my nose, the scent has precisely this peculiar mixture of dark resin, damp earth, minerality, and a slightly medicinal bitterness. A truly unusual composition that you don't smell every day.

Sweet-dry opening with gourmand-like accents and a clean floral touch. Immediately, a sauna infusion scent emerges, defined by incense freshness and cypress in combination with a slightly herbal-creamy chamomile-sandalwood blend. Apple is present, albeit only in the background. The fragrance becomes spicier and also contains pleasantly scratchy notes that fit the dry character. However, it always retains a hint of gourmand and, especially in the drydown, becomes sweet-creamy-woody-soft. In the end, a clearly vanillic sandalwood base with oud sweetness.
