Cuoium

On the spectrum from easy-to-wear to highly challenging, it sits on the very far end in outstanding quality. Incredibly animalic, smoky, and strong. Certainly not appropriate for every situation, but one of Gualtieri's best. It moves me emotionally. Raw and intense. I prefer to enjoy it consciously on my own.

Cuoium is a strongly spicy and leathery fragrance with a pronounced smoky character. Added to this are dry, peppery notes that give the scent a striking spiciness. On my skin, it reminds me a little of liquid smoke, which further intensifies the smoky impression. I also perceive animalic notes, which I personally do not find bothersome. Overall, Cuoium comes across to me as rough, dry, and full of character.

Much more beautiful and airy on a scent strip, I hated it on the first try because it was too strong and dark. I retested it today and, to my great surprise, it's the medicinal fruity notes in the background that bother me, and not this medieval leather reminiscent of Viking pouches. In short, nice, but really not for me.
