Draped in the emblematic indigo turban, OUD TUAREG pays homage to the Tuareg's blue symbolism, connecting the codes of their culture with the timeless art of living in the desert. At the heart of this elixir lies an enigmatic oasis town, a desert jewel. The memory of ancient caravans infuses it — a tale of boundless wealth shared generously. As treasured as gold, OUD TUAREG unveils Oud's opulence paired with modern rose, warm sandalwood, and hints of mandarin and ginger.
A luxurious oriental composition opening with bright mandarin and spicy Nigerian ginger, leading to an opulent heart of Damask and Taif roses enriched with African myrrh and precious saffron. The base reveals a sophisticated duo of authentic oud and creamy sandalwood, creating a rich and enduring desert symphony.
Wow! A very powerful rose-oud fragrance, with rather animalic oud in the opening... once you have overcome this phase, it becomes a bit softer again and the rose more prominent, but remains strongly oud-y... very potent and long-lasting....
An immediately present, sparkling opening in which spicy and slightly resinous facets combine with a dry, noble oud structure. From the start, the composition feels warm and contoured without becoming overly heavy. As it develops, an elegant woody base emerges more strongly, lending the fragrance stability and depth, while the oud remains present but appears clean and well-integrated. The drydown develops a calm, slightly leathery warmth with an oriental feel and leaves a structured, dry-spicy overall impression with a clear signature.
I initially had concerns that the fragrance might smell 'old', but quite the opposite. Very high-quality Oud fragrance, very strong sillage and longevity. Rather masculine and reminiscent of Ombré Nomade by LV.
