I had high hopes for the fragrance but was unfortunately disappointed. Overall, it is far too boring for me. It doesn't smell bad, but it has hardly any depth or development for me. The opening is very citrusy and slightly creamy, with grapefruit clearly in the foreground. Afterwards, some woody and floral notes are added. However, the woodiness remains far too gentle for me – I mainly perceive sandalwood. Amber is not perceptible to me at all, nor is the oud. I therefore find 'Amber Cologne' to be a rather misleading name, especially when it supposedly contains oud. Unfortunately, it is nothing special for me.
