The story

Founded by Jean-Philippe Clermont in 2015, Atelier des Ors is now rooted in Grasse. At Villa Primerose, a house dating from 1886, the Maison connects French perfumery heritage with art, craftsmanship and a considered love of objects.

Gold is more than decoration here: the 24-carat flakes suspended in the bottles turn the idea of precious perfume into a visible signature. Together with perfumer Marie Salamagne, Clermont develops compositions that place olfactory stories and vivid memories at their centre.

Jean-Philippe Clermont's idea of Belle Parfumerie

Jean-Philippe Clermont founded Atelier des Ors with the ambition of renewing the aesthetic and care associated with haute parfumerie. His inspirations range from art and the French art of living to memories, historic objects and his years in the Middle East. His long-standing collaboration with Marie Salamagne gives that idea a distinct olfactory voice.

Villa Primerose in Grasse

For Atelier des Ors, Villa Primerose is more than an address. The neoclassical house from 1886 connects Grasse's perfumery past, present and future. It becomes a setting for exchange, craft and a perfume culture that not only preserves memories, but creates new ones.

03 · Material and craft

When perfume becomes an object

The bottles translate precious perfume into form, light and material. 24-carat gold flakes float in each creation, while embossed rays recall historic crystal-cutting techniques and the seahorse marks the Maison's signature. The design accompanies the fragrance without replacing the olfactory work of Atelier des Ors perfumes.
