Gardez

I have a sample of Gardez. Anyone looking for a very pleasant, unusual fragrance will find an interesting change in this sweet scent dominated by a popcorn note. Different but unobtrusive. Over time, blackcurrant actually creeps in. A bit of woodiness, leather is only quite weak. Use during the day and not for every occasion. It is not at the top of my wishlist, but definitely on my watch list.

At the beginning, a lot happens all at once. Fine fruit candies, rubber and leather, roasted almonds. It all feels briefly overwhelming but is then bundled together by a brilliant, misty consistency. For about an hour, the sillage is very high in my opinion. A gentle, sweet smoke surrounds the wearer. A hint of cool scratchiness ensures that the gourmand notes do not become overwhelming or sticky. With the dry down, the fragrance becomes quieter and very beautiful once more with a distinct cassis and wood base.

If you like the earthy character of orris root in a fragrance, you should give this scent a try. It is relatively close to the skin, calm, and intimate. The iris remains from the opening until the drydown and accompanies you throughout the day. Absolutely unisex.
