In the opening, there is a very, very intense but realistic lemon zest. The opening is almost too acidic for me. Then the lemon recedes a bit into the background and the sweetness comes through. In the drydown, sandalwood follows and the whole thing turns into a woody, slightly sweet, citrus fragrance with gourmand hints. After half an hour, the sandalwood has also faded more into the background. It is not a powerhouse, totally sweet, 'call the ambulance due to sugar shock' perfume, like the citrus-sweet syrup bomb Italica by Casamorati. In typical Liis fashion, the scent is lighter, more subtle, and not overwhelming. And because of the realistic lemon and sandalwood, it could seem almost acidic and a bit more tart to some sweet-tooths than other gourmands.
A really beautiful gourmand scent! Unfortunately, I can't wear it often because I get a craving for a lemon tart every time I wear it, but I love how realistic it is, it's very delicious!
