Mountains beyond Clouds

I absolutely love all the notes listed here, so I was really excited for this fragrance, hoping it would be the one. Unfortunately, it is not at all what I expected. I hoped for an airy, fresh, floral-mineral fragrance that evokes high altitude mountains and clouds, instead I find it unpleasantly sour and strangely bitter like rotten citrus and then balsamic-earthy and weirdly waxy in the dry-down. No freshness, no airiness whatsoever. Cedarwood, neroli and lily of the valley are some of my favorite notes, yet I barely get any cedarwood or LoV at all, and neroli is barely there either. Maybe I'm nose-blind to some of the chemicals used or it's possible I got a bad sample, so take my conclusion with a grain of salt: this was a miss for me.

A very nice, light scent. Later, woody and slightly animalic notes develop. Mood: grey. Pleasant and calm, like the first autumn days in the North. Very niche. Very unisex.
