The story
Parfums D'Elmar was founded in 2017 in Birchwil near Zurich, growing from Elmar Métry's lifelong fascination with scent. In 2015, his wife Angelika gave him the decisive impulse to turn that passion into a Maison. The brand remains a family house with Swiss roots.
01 · Origin

A family passion becomes a Maison

Elmar Métry spent more than two decades in private banking, but his fascination with scent never left him. In 2015, Angelika Métry encouraged him to turn that passion into his own brand. Two years later, Parfums D'Elmar was founded in Birchwil near Zurich. Family history is therefore not a decorative motif, but the documented starting point of the house.

02 · Composition

Quintessence de Parfum

The house presents a 35 percent perfume-oil concentration under the name Quintessence de Parfum. Its opulent density is paired with hand-polished crystal, semi-transparent colours, heavy gold-plated zamac caps, and the Métry family crest. Scent and flacon are therefore presented as two parts of the same work.

03 · Craft

A flacon with a presence of its own

The official Maison page describes each flacon as hand-polished crystal with a gold-plated zamac cap. Selected editions are said to receive more than 360 Swarovski crystals per cap and fine leatherwork. Manufacturer and retailer information describes the fragrances as made in Italy.
