Stercus

Stercus opens warm and spicy before oud and leather come more to the fore. As it develops, the fragrance becomes rounder and woodier, accompanied by almond, vanilla, and powdery notes, as well as rose. The sillage is strong. When I smell the scent directly with my nose close up, I find it very pleasant. The trail of scent lingering in the room, on the other hand, strikes me as slightly sweaty.

Absolute favorite scent, smells wonderfully spicy and sweet. Reminds one of Christmas. By far the best from the house of Orto Parisi. Anyone who lets themselves be distracted by the marketing here is missing out. Top longevity and sillage.

To start with: I can definitely understand why the fragrance has so many fans. I probably haven't ventured far enough into the Gualtieri world yet to truly appreciate it. As a fan of Brutus, I had to test Stercus as well. Unfortunately, I find it lacks elegance. At first, it becomes very animalic, then oud/leathery/woody, and then it remains quite present. I'll test it again in half a year. Maybe I'll be ready then.
