The story

Jorum Studio was founded in Edinburgh in 2019 by perfumer Euan McCall and Chloe Mullen. The brand grew from McCall’s earlier formulation and manufacturing business, Jorum Laboratories, and combines a Scottish base with an intentionally independent way of working.

From the first concept through formulation, maceration, bottling and assembly, production stays in-house. The result is fragrance that treats nature, culture and everyday observation as material for precise and often unexpected olfactory structures.

01 · An independent studio

From Jorum Laboratories to Jorum Studio

Euan McCall first worked under the name Jorum Laboratories, formulating for other brands. Since 2016 he has run Jorum equally with Chloe Mullen. In 2019 they gave their own fragrance vision a public form through Jorum Studio. The dialogue between perfumery and design still shapes the studio’s work.

02 · Made in-house

Craft as a production principle

Jorum Studio formulates, manufactures, macerates, filters, bottles and assembles its products in Edinburgh. The raw materials come from a global supply chain and include both natural origin materials and aroma molecules. This clear-eyed material approach is part of the concept: what matters is which material expresses the intended fragrance idea most clearly.

03 · Perfumery and craft

An award for Scottish makers

Through the Jorum Craft Award, the studio and Craft Scotland support the development of handmade work. Launched in 2020, the initiative connects Jorum’s interest in materials and workmanship with a concrete contribution to Scotland’s creative community.
