The story

Essential Parfums began in Paris in 2018 under Géraldine Archambault, who drew on three decades in the fragrance industry to pursue a more accessible form of haute parfumerie. The idea is direct: the fragrance and the people who compose it should matter more than elaborate packaging or promotion.

01 · Origin

A return to the essentials

Géraldine Archambault founded Essential Parfums in Paris in 2018 to make haute parfumerie more accessible. Her manifesto places perfumers in the role of the true artists and describes a brand that seeks to reduce unnecessary packaging, excessive promotion, and intermediaries.

02 · Creative freedom

The perfumer's signature

Rather than presenting an anonymous house style, Essential Parfums names the perfumers behind its creations. Bois Impérial by Quentin Bisch applies that principle to a spicy woody signature, while Nice Bergamote by Antoine Maisondieu takes it into citrus and floral territory.

03 · Responsibility

Refillable and material-conscious

The brand combines high naturality with refillability and restrained design. Essential Parfums cites certified and upcycled materials, beetroot-derived alcohol, an FSC cardboard sleeve without plastic film, and a refillable bottle made with recycled glass as parts of this approach.
