Gardenia

Gardenia is a flowering plant native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, Madagascar, and the Pacific Islands. The essential oil is typically extracted through solvent extraction or enfleurage, as the delicate flowers are challenging to distill. Most gardenia used in perfumery is a synthetic recreation due to the difficulty and expense of natural extraction.
