The story
Argos was founded by Christian Petrovich in Dallas and launched publicly in 2018. He connects his travels and his interest in Greek and Roman mythology with a clear idea: fragrance should make a story physically felt, not merely describe it.
The house develops its fragrances through a French perfumery connection and says they are produced in its private lab in Grasse. Art-led bottle imagery and intense, layered compositions are designed as one experience. Mythology therefore becomes the narrative frame for fragrances such as Triumph of Bacchus and Adonis Awakens.
01 · The person behind the house

Christian Petrovich makes fragrance a storytelling medium

Christian Petrovich founded Argos after years of developing bespoke and private-label fragrances for clients. The house’s official story describes him as a model, actor and real-estate developer based in Dallas who turned his work with fragrance into an independent house. His role reaches from concept to composition. That helps explain why Argos treats myth, visual language and perfume as one connected experience.

02 · Mythology and art

Every fragrance begins with a legend

Argos draws on Greek and Roman myths and translates them into fragrance. Bacio Immortale tells of Eros and Psyche, while Fall of Phaeton uses Phaeton’s dramatic fall as an olfactory motif. The bottles carry that connection into the visual world: their art panels reference artworks and mythic figures, making the packaging part of the narrative.

03 · French production

Time for maceration and formulation

The house describes its production as a meeting point between modern laboratory equipment and time-honoured techniques. Argos says its fragrances are developed with natural ingredients from around the world and produced in its private lab in Grasse. The homepage also states that developing an Argos fragrance requires at least two years. This is not a quality ranking, but it is a concrete indication of the house’s slow, iterative approach.

What the community says about Argos

10/10
The opening is an absolute bombshell. A juicy, almost zesty fruit note of green apple and ripe peach immediately meets a deep, noble rum accord, supported by the finest saffron. It doesn't smell like cheap alcohol, but like an extremely high-quality, aged liqueur. In the heart, the fragrance transforms: the freshness of the fruit recedes and makes way for a smoky, creamy warmth. Tonka bean and soft jasmine merge perfectly. The grand finale in the base then belongs to tobacco – and what a tobacco it is! No ashy smoke, but sweet, moist pipe tobacco that combines with noble amber and sandalwood to form a sweet-spicy, almost hypnotic aura.
