The story
Alexandre.J is a French perfume house founded by Alexandre J in 2012. His work treats fragrance as part of a complete object, bringing design, material, and scent together rather than isolating perfume inside the bottle.
The Maison draws on early twentieth-century architecture and pairs mother-of-pearl, glass paste, enamel, and pearls with refined compositions. Alexandre.J works with several perfumers and independent studios, including Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel.
01 · The idea

Fragrance as a designed object

Alexandre J founded the brand in 2012 with a clear design position: a fragrance should not only smell beautiful, but also have a presence as an object. The Maison describes its work as a meeting of exceptional flacons and refined fragrances. The bottle therefore becomes part of the story, not just a container for it.

02 · Material and form

Architecture carried into fragrance

Alexandre.J’s visual language looks to early twentieth-century architecture and translates it into a modern, tactile world. Mother-of-pearl, glass paste, enamel, and pearls recur as material references. The olfactory work is equally collaborative: according to the Maison, fragrances are developed in dialogue with contemporary perfumers whose different signatures shape the collections.
