The story

Ulrich Lang New York grew from Ulrich Lang's path through perfumery, L'Oréal, and New York's art and publishing world. Together with Britt Biegelsen, he shaped a brand in which photography is not merely decoration but a creative starting point for many fragrances.

01 · Founder

Between perfumery and New York's art world

Ulrich Lang grew up around his grandmother's perfumery, worked with Estée Lauder and L'Oréal, and returned to New York through the art and publishing worlds. After his experience in contemporary art, he founded the fragrance brand with Britt Biegelsen. His own description is deliberately grounded: he is not a traditionally trained perfumer, but a creative lead who works with specialist perfumers.

Photography as a fragrance starting point

At Ulrich Lang New York, the photographic image is part of the creative origin. The brand's official description presents contemporary photography as an inspiration for development and packaging. This creates a dialogue between image, material, and scent, readable as green and aquatic in Apsu and as citrus-floral clarity in 17 Nandan Road.

The current Parfinity selection shows four distinct approaches: Lethe places bergamot and lavender over cashmere wood, while Suncrest connects peach, blackcurrant, and lemon with a creamy woody base.
