The story
Experimental Perfume Club began in London in 2016 from Emmanuelle Moeglin's wish to make the often closed world of perfumery more accessible. Workshops and an open studio grew into a house that treats fragrance not only as a finished product, but as an invitation to smell, compare, and create.
The collections can be worn alone or combined. Cardamom Moss shows the clear Essential side, while Tonka Extraordinaire opens the warmer, more expressive direction. EPC therefore speaks to people who want not only to choose a scent, but to understand its making more closely.

Emmanuelle Moeglin opens up fragrance knowledge

Founder and perfumer Emmanuelle Moeglin combines training at ISIPCA with experience in the international fragrance industry. EPC grew from workshops intended to bring people behind the scenes of perfumery. The brand therefore treats learning as part of the fragrance experience, not as knowledge reserved for professionals.

Fragrances as building blocks for personal combinations

EPC describes blending as composing with finished Essentials. Cardamom Moss and Tonka Extraordinaire represent contrasting building blocks: green clarity on one side, nutty warmth on the other. The concept gives wearers a practical language for layering and makes personal combinations possible without reducing perfumery to a gimmick.

From open studio to lab-boutique

EPC's current Covent Garden lab-boutique extends the original idea into a physical space: visitors can explore fragrances, develop their own combinations, and engage with how perfume is constructed. The official philosophy pairs creative accessibility with carefully made scents and more considered choices around materials and packaging.

I was looking for a tonka fragrance for a long time. In Tonka Sesame, I found it.

I love this scent! For me, it smells wonderfully nutty and sweet. I could smell it constantly and non-stop. I love this scent!

From the very first minute, I was completely smitten! This fragrance exudes incredible warmth, perfect for the cold season. It presents itself as an unsweet and non-sticky, warm-spicy gourmand. The opening is intensely nutty, followed by a soft-creamy, slightly powdery progression. On my skin, the fragrance lasts about 6-7 hours and is then subtly perceptible for a few more hours. On clothes, it even remains present until the next day. The sillage is good but unobtrusive, making it wearable in everyday life with appropriate dosage. Although its special notes might not make it a universally pleasing scent – my environment is rather divided here – for me, it embodies pure warmth and security. It will certainly bring me a lot of joy this winter.
